This has been a steep learning curve, but I have finally chosen an image for my blog page.
A lot of time was taken up experimenting with the best method of accessing this site. In the end I had to download an update version of Google Chrome, as I am not using the usual computer this evening.
The subject of this image is self-explanatory. This is 19th C art taken from free clip-art images. I had hoped to download satirical cartoons, but they are all protected by copyright.
Apart from lectures and seminars, much of this week has been taken up with research for my assignment about comparison of Old English, Middle English and Early Modern English

texts. The O.E.D online is great, but I have ordered 2 OED dictionary/etymology books from Amazon, using a gift voucher I was given last year. It should be 'money well spent'. I will be glad to complete the English assignment, so that I can begin my DigHist critique and start 3 other essays next week!!
There is an interesting Digital History article I have to finish reading before I can comment on it. I wonder if we will get any time to read anything at Cumberland Lodge this weekend!! The bag is nearly packed and the travel directions have been printed. I'm not fortunate enough to have Sat Nav technology!

Hope I get one or two followers on this blog soon. Wonder if there is anything else I need to do to achieve that? Must catch up with tweets soon. Shirley :)
